Celebrating International Women’s WEEK!

International Women's Day: B&A will spend this week spotlighting the amazing women that run our company

Celebrating International Women’s WEEK!

Wednesday, March 8th, is International Women’s Day. This day provides a global platform for celebrating women’s achievements, increasing awareness about gender inequalities, and raising support for women worldwide.

This year, we will be celebrating not only on March 8th, but we are starting our own Women’s WEEK! Each day we will highlight women who are integral to the success of our company. Being a primarily women-run organization, this week is very important to us and worth being celebrated!
Women's Week spotlight: Sarah Fitzgibbon, Vice President. Sarah started working in 2012 while she was attending court reporting school. Once she obtained her court reporter license, she stayed on with our company as a W2 court reporter and divisional lead. In 2020, she was promoted to Vice President! Sarah takes depositions almost daily while managing the team at B&A and focuses on client relations. She takes on and mentors new reporters fresh in the field. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her husband, new baby, and Rhodesian Ridgeback, Dash.
Women's Week spotlight: Christina Delos Santos, Accounting Manager. We lucked out in 2007 when Christina was hired as an Admin Coordinator. Since then, she has become an integral part of the company. Her attention to detail, matched with her superb customer service, makes her one of the best in the biz. Christina loves to bake and try new cooking recipes, reading on her Kindle, and hanging out with family, especially her 3 children.
Women's Week spotlight: Susie O'Donnell, Production Manager. Susie has spent the last 6 years in her position! She is the person that ensures that transcripts are delivered to our clients on time. Susie does an excellent job of making sure our clients are happy and have everything they need. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her husband and family. Especially her three granddaughters! She enjoys reading, sewing, baking, and riding bike trails around the South Sound. She also enjoys taking road trips to new locations with her husband.
Women's Week spotlight: MaryAnn Paholio, Scheduling Assistant. MaryAnn is our scheduling assistant. She is working towards her master's in social work and is currently doing an internship at a homeless shelter. She loves spending time with her family and friends in her free time. Her hobbies include traveling and journaling. She has five dogs that are a mix of Maltese, Pomeranian, and Yorkie. She said that she loves her job because of the work-life balance and the flexibility. We are so lucky to have MaryAnn on the team!
Women's Week spotlight: Taylor Nichols, General Manager. Taylor started in 2016 as a Scheduling Coordinator and in 2022 she was promoted to GM. Taylor shines in her ability to identify, analyze, and bring about improvements in existing processes to optimize both the client and staff experiences. Recently, Taylor received her HR Essentials Cert from the UW. Taylor loves to go hiking with her son, travel, and garden. Taylor works remotely and says that she loves working for a company that gives you the opportunities to grow professionally, take time off, and set a schedule that works for her family and personal life.
Women's Week spotlight: Rachel Helm, Court Reporter. Rachel is a W2 court reporter. Rachel loves court reporting because every day is completely different from the one before it. She also loves that there's always another cert, skill, or niche to set her sights on, which constantly raises the bar and gives her something new to strive for. Her ultimate career goal is to be a congressional reporter. Which we know she will be one day! In her free time she plays competitive pinball. Her team made it to the playoffs last year! When the weather's good, her favorite thing to do is be on the water in a kayak or paddleboard.
Women's Week spotlight: Allison Borgida, Technical Director. Allison Borgida has always been such a creative and innovative force. Allison began her career with us in 2018 as an Associate Videographer. Over the past five years, Allison has worked proficiently to learn the skills and knowledge to be successful in the field. Allison has shot hundreds of depositions. Allison enjoys spending time with her friends and family in her free time and also enjoys participating in video projects within the Seattle community.
