Meet our Court Reporter, Katie Eskew!

Katie attended Pacific Union College in Napa Valley, California, where she received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in 1988. About a year after graduating, while working in the Bay area, Katie met a court reporter, and became intrigued with the field of court reporting. She decided to move back home, to Southern California, to start court reporting school. During school, she moved to New Mexico, which is where she finished court reporting school and obtained her license in 1994.

Katie worked as a freelance court reporter in New Mexico until 2001. Around that time, she was seeking a next step and that’s when she found Byers & Anderson listed in a Court Reporting Journal. After visiting Washington, she decided to make the move up here to continue her career with Byers & Anderson. Shortly after her move up to Washington, she received her Registered Professional Reporter credential from the National Court Reporters Association.

As of July of 2022, Katie has been working with us for 21 years! She still retains her New Mexico and Washington licenses and continues to take depositions for us regularly. Coming out of the pandemic she continues to take on both virtual and in-person depositions.

In her free time, Katie enjoys traveling with her husband as much as she enjoys being home, entertaining and cooking for friends and family, being an accompanist for singing groups, and attending Seahawks games.

She looks forward to continuing in the career she enjoys, as she strives to provide great service to clients.
