Back in 1993, Valerie was inspired by a friend to enroll in Court Reporting School. She began interning with Byers & Anderson (now B&A Litigation Services) in 1996. Shortly after that, she received her CCR and began working full time with Byers & Anderson in May of 1997. In November of 2001, she earned her RPR certification.
Valerie will be celebrating 26 years with us next month! Throughout her career she has worked through our firm at Remann Hall, Western State Hospital, SCC on McNeil Island, Pierce County Superior Court, Kitsap County Superior Court, and participated in countless depositions and hearings. Valerie is grateful for the support of the B&A Staff, who help her to maintain a good work-life balance and make it possible for her to continue in a career that she loves while still affording her the ability to spend quality time with family and friends.
In her free time, she enjoys being involved with her church, playing the piano, working out, and line dancing.
Valerie has two children. Her oldest is currently in college at Grand Canyon University, and her youngest is a sophomore in high school. Her husband retired last year after 20 years as a police officer. She is looking forward to celebrating 25 years of marriage in September 2024 and traveling with her husband to new and exciting places.
