Kaila is new to the Tacoma area. She recently moved here from Eastern Washington. Currently, she’s enrolled at Purdue Global and is studying psychology and addictions. She’s passionate about helping others and hopes to one day be able to do more work to help those that are facing difficulties like addiction. Kaila had originally moved to the Tacoma area to gain experience working at a treatment center; however, she ended up looking for a different position that better fit her needs and is glad she found B&A!
She was drawn to B&A because of her past experiences and expertise working in the administrative and customer service industries and was looking to grow these skillsets while simultaneously learning about a new industry. Kaila had been working in the engineering industry for about 10 years, and she’s really enjoyed the challenge and excitement that has come with expanding her knowledge about the court reporting industry!
In addition to her position with B&A and her current schooling, Kaila serves as a referee for high school basketball games. This is her sixth year of being a referee, and she’s grateful that her role as a referee has allowed her the opportunity to keep her communication skills sharp by navigating communication with coaches and players during fast paced and intense basketball games!
Kaila enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends as well as baking and reading.
She’s looking forward to her first summer in Tacoma and experiencing more of what the area has to offer! She’s also excited for continued growth both personally and professionally through her work with B&A and continuing to build upon the knowledge and skills she’s already gained while working at B&A over the past few months!
